Transport Issues from Alicante Airport

Although there have been few issues acquiring transport from the airport to all the holiday destinations on the Costa Blanca during daytime hours, there has been an issue with late evening arrivals, particularly during the peak season. The issue has arisen from the reduced number of taxis that are working after 8pm which is also compounded by many of the popular bus services not being available after a certain time.

The local authorities are aware of the large late night queues for taxis at the airport and are working to resolve the issue by prolonging bus services. However, as far as we are aware at the time of writing, this hasn’t been resolved as yet.

Top Tip:

If your flight is due to land late at Alicante airport, and you want to avoid a prolonged wait for a taxi, pre-book a shuttle taxi or a rental car prior to your visit. Hopefully the transport issue will be resolved soon enough but even once it is, wouldn’t it still be more reassuring to have your own transport booked!
